«Wingate» Project

The gas field Wingate is located in Block 44/24b of the British Continental Shelf in the North Sea, what is approximately 177 km from the UK coastline. It was discovered in October 2008 through the exploration well and brought into development in 2011. As per expert assessment, the Wingate gas field renders possible to produce about 1.11 billion m3 of gas per year. The anticipated operational life of the field is 15 years.

In May 2014 GAZPROM UK RESOURCES S.A. (100% subsidiary company of GAZPROM (U.K.) LIMITED) and Gazprom International UK Ltd. entered into Farmout Agreement whereby, subject to fulfilling agreed conditions, the 20% share in gas production licenses P1239 and P1733 is transferred from Gazprom International UK Ltd. to GAZPROM UK RESOURCES, S.A.

In 2015 the disposal of 20% share in Wingate Project to a new potential partner – GAZPROM UK RESOURCES, S.A. - was preliminarily approved by Wingate project partners (Wintershall Nordzee B.V., Gas - Union GmbH and XTO UK Ltd.). In February 2016 the transaction entered in its final stage when the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) granted its consent to an assignment of 20% share in Wingate licenses.

The transaction on assignment of 20% share in Wingate project to GAZPROM UK RESOURCES, S.A. was completed on 26 July 2016.
